Cancun

For our honeymoon, my parents payed for us to go to Cancun. Well they paid for our hotel. We still had to fork in $1,000 in plane tickets, and all of our food and activities. It was so worth it! We flew out on the 14th of August. Our flight was supposed to leave at 7, but the AC wasn't working so we waited 35 minutes before we finally took off. We arrived in Denver late and literally RAN to our next gate to connect to Cancun. We got halfway to Cancun.. so about and hour and a half in, and the Captain comes overhead and says that the one of the hydraulic engines went out and that we would have to turn around and go back to Denver. Not what you want to hear. We ended up waiting for a smaller plane for 2 hours.
This is Tejay sleeping in the airport in Denver.

After getting on the 3rd plane for the day, we were on our way to Cancun. We got to our hotel at 10:30 that night. We were supposed to be there at 4. It was such a long day! We explored our room and went to bed.

This was our view when we woke up the next day.

We walked along the beach and had breakfast. After breakfast we laid around for a while.

We also decided to venture in to town to get groceries at Wal-Mart. The cheapest way to get there was the bus. And man is that an experience! They drive so crazy and don't care if you are on the bottom step of the bus before they take off. The Wal-Mart is an experience too. They have maybe a third of the carts a normal Wal-Mart has. So you carry all your groceries. Their meat is cut and in the middle of busy walkways sitting on ice. Grossed me out!

The next evening we went Night Bottom Fishing. As bad as a feel for saying this, it was not fun! This could be because I got so sick on the boat! I was miserable. Tejay caught a fish. The drivers of the boat also caught a big Barracuda while we were there too.

These two pictures are before and after fishing.

We also went to Chichen Itza. It is such an amazing place! The story is too long to write, but I would recommend it to everyone! Here are a few pictures that don't do it justice.
There are iguana's EVERYWHERE! They are even on the sidewalks of the streets. Everything is so beautiful there! The ocean is warm and clear. It was so hard to leave! We hope to go back someday.
